Yoreli Rincón has been one of the most important players in the history of the Colombia Women’s National Team. However, since 2018 she has not been under the tricolor jersey again after the veto that she, along with Isabella Echeverry and Natalia Gaitan, had with the then Technical Director, Nelson Abadía.
The midfielder from Santander has not played since 2018, when she last participated in the Copa América Femenina in Chile. In the program El Vbar Caracol, where she sometimes acts as a panelist, she has not hidden her desire to talk about the National Team again and to one day have the opportunity to wear the yellow shirt again.
“I set out for a year, suddenly emotionally 2 years. If I don’t get it again, I’ll leave the country.”said Yoreli during the El Vbar radio program.
Given this, the Santander midfielder who today plays for Atlético Nacional hopes that coach Angelo Marsiglia will call him back and make it feel like none of this ever happened. After Rincón missed important tournaments such as the 2022 Copa América in Colombia, and the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
