The long-awaited news in the FCF is finally a fact: the Colombian National Team will play a friendly match against Spain.
The president of the FCF, Ramón Jesurun, had already stated that there were two important teams behind a crossover with the tricolor and one of them is the one led today by Luis de la Fuente.
Colombia and Spain have not met in official competitions but they have met in friendly matches, with a balance of two wins for the Europeans and one draw.
It is worth saying that, in addition to Colombia, Spain will also face Brazil, on March 26, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. For the South American teams it will be ideal preparation for the Copa América 2024, which will be held in the United States in the middle of the year.
The newspapers As and Marca of Spain confirmed the news: “The other (match) will be against Colombia, within the framework of the agreement between UEFA and CONMEBOL to take advantage of that window with matches between teams from the two Confederations. In the absence of finishing off the fringes, the match against the coffee team will be played in London thanks to the agreement between the RFEF and the Stage Group company,” the latter media indicated.
