After having given the green light to the restart of the BetPlay Tournament, Dimayor announced that the match corresponding to date 8 of the Colombian promotion tournament between Bogotá FC vs Unión Magdalena, was postponed due to the positive cases of covid-19 that were registered in one of the two clubs protagonists of the match.
“We would like to inform you that the match between Bogotá FC vs Unión Magdalena, corresponding to date 8 of the BetPlay Dimayor 2020 Tournament, is postponed due to the positive result of the PCR tests carried out on one of the clubs, previously mentioned.”
“For Dimayor, the state of health and its preservation in the protagonists is a priority. Therefore, the sports management of the entity decided to modify the date of the commitment and is waiting to know a new result of the tests that “They were carried out at one of the schools, which must participate in the meeting.” The organizing entity reported through an official statement.
Likewise, the entity emphasized that the priority will always be the health of the players, referees, coaching staff and other entities, so the holding of the game would be a total risk for those involved. Dimayor did not confirm the club that reported the infections, and is waiting for the results of the new PCR tests to reschedule the match.
