Snow day ideas

Getting a phone call from the school is usually a drag, but it is the best when you hear that there is going to be no school due to a snow day the next day. That means not having to get up early or sit through any long, boring classes, and you have an extra day to make up that homework assignment you forgot to do. The day is yours and you get to decide what to do with it.

Staying in all day wrapped up in blankets and watching movies is all fun for a little while but can get pretty boring,  pretty fast. You could try some new things and try to make the best out of staying home. Board games are always fun and it’s a great way to get to know people better.  Another thing you could do is get cooking. It a fun way to try something new and test out your cooking skills. Also, although movies can become boring after awhile you can make it fun. You could watch a movie you have never seen before or make some snacks to eat while watching that relate to the movie. “ELF” for example, you could make some pancakes and try some crazy toppings.

Getting snowed in for a couple of days can always be a nice and/or a relaxing break from your crazy life at school or work, but sometimes there are those moments of wanting to get out house to do something after being cooped up in the house for awhile. A fun thing to do to get out of the house is to go ice skating. Whether it be outside or inside it’s fun getting bundled up in your favorite scarf and gloves to just go skating around for a couple hours with some friends or family. Another thing to do is to go bowling. It’s a great way to show your competitive side and to have good time while being out of the house.
