Whether America is ready for him or not, Donald Trump takes office today, Jan. 20. Trump will be inaugurated into the White House at 11:00 a.m. Inauguration Day is a big day for not only Donald Trump, but all the citizens of the United States of America. Tickets to the Inauguration are required in order to get in, but they are free. Although the tickets are free, one must apply through their local senator’s office in order to be in the running for one. Not just anyone receives a ticket, so it is kind of a big deal if you get the opportunity to attend a presidential Inauguration.
Those attending any Inauguration need to be ready to have a day filled with presidential shenanigans. In order to get, one must go through a security screening. Even though events don’t start until 11:00 a.m., the security screening station opens up at 6 a.m. Security is a must on the day of the Inauguration, for obvious reasons. At 8:30 a.m., music will start playing for some entertainment for those that get there early and get through security successfully. Opening remarks are made at 10:30 a.m., only 30 minutes before the actual Inauguration begins.
Barack Obama and his family’s belongings are already moved out of the White House and they plan to continue to live in Washington D.C. until their daughter graduates from high school. Donald Trump and his family will be moved in today, and spend their first night at the White House tonight.
