Girls golf wins Districts

The KHS girls golf team won districts on Mon., Oct. 3 that qualified them to the 2016-17 NSAA State Tournament on Oct. 10 and 11 at Norfolk. As district champions, they earned the chance to compete, as a team not just the district medalists. They took their varsity five: senior Madeline Murray, sophomore Alyssa Troudt, junior Lili Tricard, sophomore Chloe Dakan, and freshman Maddie Nutter.

The girls had a final place of ninth with a team score of 782. Murray tied for seventh with a personal score of 169. Tricard tied for 20th with a personal score of 185, and Troudt tied for 27th with a personal score of 191. The bottom two split the score taking Dakan the first day and Nutter the second. Both ended the tournament strong with personal scores of 240, Dakan and 256, Nutter.
