On Sat., Dec. 12, the KHS varsity girls basketball was back in action against Omaha Burke. The long bus ride did not seem to affect the Lady Cats pace of play at all. The team took the lead from the start and won 61-42.

From the start, Kearney High went 6 for 7 from the 3 point arch. This helped the Bearcats take a big halftime lead.

Senior Skyler Snider had a strong night for the Bearcats scoring 25 points. Snider also lead the team in rebounds for the night with 8. Senior Lauren Speicher and junior Kelsey Clark each added 11 points to the Bearcat victory.

After this big road win against another metro school, KHS will be back in action on Sat., Dec. 19 against Aurora in the Kearney High gym at 2:30pm.
