Ms. Nutt

  1. What drew you to Kearney High School, or if you’re originally from here what about Kearney do you like?

“I came to Kearney for college on a basketball/softball scholarship and loved it so much I stayed ever since!”

  1. Do you have any hobbies outside of school?

“I love hanging out with my two dogs Max (standard poodle) and Jeffrey (bichon frise), I like spending time with my nieces and nephews (4 out of 5 live here in Kearney!!), and sports! I love watching football, basketball, soccer, really any sport! I also enjoy being active and working out.”

  1. What about this school year are you looking forward to the most?

“Meeting new people and students, also starting a new journey.”

  1. This there any new or fresh ideas you want to bring to the curriculum throughout the year?

“Absolutely! I am always trying to find new activities online or going to PE workshops to stay current!”

  1. What made you want to become a teacher?

“My family has a strong background being educators. My dad is a PE teacher, mom was a band teacher, my grandpa was a PE teacher and a Principal, both my sisters teach, also my aunt and uncles teach!”

  1. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

“I would be a dog so I could make someone’s day and be a good companion! I love dogs!”

  1.   What’s your favorite song of all time?

“Everything by Lifehouse.”

  1. Do you have any embarrassing or fond memories from when you were in high school?

“I am sure I had some embarrassing moments!”

  1. If you weren’t a teacher, what would you like to be instead?

“I would be a dog cop so I could make sure dogs are treated correctly and save stray dogs. One of my dreams jobs would be to own kennels from coast to coast that could hold unwanted dogs with a dog run, pool, pretty much anything to spoil them.”

  1. What drew you to Kearney High School, or if you’re originally from here what about Kearney do you like?

“I came to Kearney for UNK; I really enjoy the community and the size of town.”

  1. Do you have any hobbies outside of school?

“Outside of school I like to fish, hunt, model, play softball, and enjoy time at home.”

  1. What about this school year are you looking forward to the most?

“Basketball season.”

  1. Are there any new or fresh ideas you want to bring to the curriculum throughout the year?

“No.”

  1. What made you want to become a teacher?

“My dad and influential teachers I had of my own growing up.”

  1. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

“A Pig, my grandpa gave me a pig, and I also like to eat.”

  1. What’s your favorite song of all time?

“Love your love by Eric Church.”

  1. Do you have any embarrassing or fond memories from when you were in high school?

“Once, I sang off pitch at a fine arts ceremony.”

  1. If you weren’t a teacher, what else you’d you be doing?

“If I couldn’t teach, I’d be doing construction and home building.”
